HIMALAYANGURUS FITNESS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED

Terms and Conditions

These terms cover what we promise, what we ask of you, and what happens if plans change. They apply to our residential programs, our fitness vacations, our online coaching, our digital products and this website. Please read them before you book.

Effective from 14 September 2026 Version 2.0 Applies to www.fitnessbootcamp.in and all Fitness Bootcamp services

The short version

This summary is for convenience. The full terms below are the ones that apply.

Your place is confirmed when we accept your application and receive your deposit
An enquiry or a payment on its own does not create a booking. We confirm in writing.
You must be honest about your health
Our locations sit at altitude and the training is demanding. If you hide a condition, we cannot keep you safe, and we may end your participation.
Travel insurance is compulsory for residential programs
It must cover medical treatment, emergency evacuation and trip cancellation.
Mountains do not follow schedules
Weather, landslides, road closures and permit decisions can force changes. We will always choose safety over the itinerary.
We coach. We do not practise medicine
Nothing we provide is a diagnosis, a prescription or a treatment, and no result is guaranteed.

The documents that apply

Your agreement with us is made up of the following, read together:

  • these Terms and Conditions
  • our Privacy Policy
  • the program page describing the dates, inclusions and fee for the program you booked
  • our written booking confirmation to you
  • the participant waiver and agreement you sign before the program begins
  • any separate media consent or research consent form you choose to sign

If a conflict arises, the signed participant waiver and agreement takes precedence, then your written booking confirmation, then these terms, then the program page.

Definitions

  • Program. Any residential program, fitness vacation, camp, retreat or online coaching engagement we deliver.
  • Residential program. A program where you stay at a location we arrange, including our Rishikesh, Dehradun, Manali, Spiti, Meghalaya, Assam and Ladakh programs.
  • Participant. A person attending a program.
  • Deposit. The part of the fee payable to confirm a place.
  • Program fee. The total amount payable for a program, as stated on the program page or in your booking confirmation.
  • Digital product. A self-paced course, downloadable plan, printed or digital journal, or similar item sold on our website.

What we provide

We deliver structured health transformation through coaching, environment and measurement. Specifically:

  • Residential programs. Coached training, cooked vegetarian meals, accommodation, recovery and progress tracking at a location we arrange.
  • Fitness vacations. Shorter residential experiences combining training with exploring a region.
  • Online coaching. Remote programming, check-ins and review, delivered over an agreed period.
  • Digital products. Self-paced courses, plans and journals.
  • Free tools. Health calculators and written guides published on our website.

We are a coaching and training organisation. We are not a hospital, clinic, diagnostic centre, medical practice or licensed travel agency.

Eligibility and age

  • Our 4-Week Program accepts participants aged 25 and above. The program asks for a level of independence and self-directed commitment that suits people at that stage of life.
  • All other programs and services are open to adults aged 18 and above.
  • We do not enrol anyone under 18, and we do not sell digital products to anyone under 18.
  • We may ask for proof of age before confirming a place.

Acceptance is by application. We may decline an application where we do not believe we can deliver a safe or worthwhile experience for you, and we are not obliged to give reasons.

Health declaration

This is the most important section in these terms. Our locations sit at altitude, the days are physically demanding, and medical facilities can be hours away.

You confirm that:

  • you have disclosed all existing medical conditions, past surgeries, injuries, allergies and current medication, honestly and in full
  • you have told us about any condition affecting your heart, lungs, blood pressure, blood sugar, joints, spine or mental health
  • you have told us if you are pregnant, or believe you may be
  • you will tell us immediately if anything changes between booking and arrival, and during the program
  • you have consulted a doctor where you had any doubt about your fitness to participate

We may require medical clearance from a qualified doctor before confirming your place, and we may require a recent blood panel. This is for your safety, not paperwork.

If you withhold or misstate health information, we may decline your booking, or end your participation at any point, without a refund. We may also be unable to help you in the way you would need if something goes wrong. Please tell us everything. Nothing you disclose will be judged, and almost nothing disqualifies you outright.

Applying and confirming a place

  • You apply through our application form or by contacting us directly.
  • We review your application, and we may speak with you before deciding.
  • If we accept, we send you a written confirmation setting out the dates, the fee and the payment schedule.
  • Your place is confirmed only when we have issued that written confirmation and received your deposit.

Listing a program on our website is an invitation to apply, not an offer. Submitting an application or making a payment does not by itself create a booking. If we cannot accept your application, we refund any amount received in full.

Places are limited and are allocated in the order deposits are received. We do not hold places informally.

Fees and payment

  • All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees and are payable in Indian Rupees.
  • Payments are processed through Razorpay. Bank transfer may be available on request.
  • A deposit is payable to confirm your place. It is a fixed amount, stated on the program page and repeated in your booking confirmation, and it is not refundable.
  • The balance is payable by 30 days before the program start date.
  • If the balance is not received by that date, we may release your place and treat the booking as cancelled by you.
  • Any bank charges, currency conversion costs or international transfer fees are yours to bear.

The fee stated in your booking confirmation is the fee you pay. We do not add charges after confirmation unless you request something extra, and we will always quote that separately in writing first.

What is included

The program page for your program is the definitive list. As a general rule, a residential program fee includes:

  • accommodation for the nights stated
  • cooked vegetarian meals as described on the program page
  • all coached training sessions and planned activities
  • assessments and progress tracking during the program
  • local transport that forms part of the itinerary
  • coaching support throughout your stay

What is not included

  • flights, trains and travel to and from the starting point
  • travel insurance, which is compulsory
  • visas, permits not stated as included, and passport costs
  • blood tests, scans, consultations and any medical treatment
  • medication, personal supplements and personal toiletries
  • laundry, telephone, internet beyond what the venue provides, and personal shopping
  • meals and activities taken outside the program
  • tips and gratuities
  • any cost arising from you leaving the program early

Travel insurance

Travel insurance is compulsory for all residential programs and fitness vacations. You must hold a policy valid for the full duration of the program that covers, at minimum:

  • medical treatment and hospitalisation
  • emergency evacuation, including from remote and high altitude areas
  • trip cancellation and curtailment
  • the activities included in your program

If you are travelling to Ladakh, Spiti or any other high altitude location, check that your policy covers activity at the altitudes involved. Many standard policies exclude them.

We may ask to see your policy before the program begins. We are not an insurance provider and we do not sell, arrange or endorse any policy. Choosing not to hold adequate cover is your decision and your risk.

If you cancel or postpone

We plan around numbers. Accommodation, staff, permits and food are committed well in advance, so a late cancellation costs us whether or not the place is filled. Our full Refunds and Cancellation Policy sets this out in detail. In summary:

  • The deposit is not refundable, except where we cancel or decline your booking.
  • The balance is refunded on the sliding scale below, according to the written notice you give.
Written notice before the start dateRefund of the balance
45 days or moreFull refund of the balance paid
30 to 44 days50 percent of the balance paid
15 to 29 days25 percent of the balance paid
Fewer than 15 daysNo refund
On or after the start dateNo refund, including for unused nights or sessions

Postponing instead

You may transfer to a later batch once, at no cost, with at least 45 days written notice, provided a suitable batch is available within 12 months. Your full fee moves with you, including the deposit. A second transfer is treated as a cancellation. Where the later batch costs more, you pay the difference.

Cancellation for medical reasons

Where you cancel because of illness or injury supported by a doctor's certificate, we will consider a credit towards a future program rather than apply the schedule above. This is discretionary, and it is also what travel insurance exists for.

How to cancel

Cancellations must be sent in writing to info@himalayangurus.com. The date we receive your written notice is the date used. We acknowledge within 2 working days, confirm the outcome within 7 working days, and pay approved refunds to the original payment method within 10 working days of approval. Payment gateway charges are not refundable.

If we cancel or change

We may need to change a program. Where the change is minor, such as reordering the itinerary, changing a session or substituting a coach of comparable experience, we will tell you and proceed.

Where we make a significant change, meaning a change to the dates, the location or the length of the program, you may choose to:

  • accept the revised program
  • transfer to another batch, paying or receiving the difference in fee
  • cancel and receive a full refund of everything you have paid us

We may cancel a program where minimum numbers are not reached. Where we do, you receive a full refund or a transfer, as you prefer. We will tell you as early as we reasonably can.

Our responsibility in these situations is limited to refunding what you paid us. We are not responsible for flights, trains, hotels or other arrangements you made independently, which is one of the reasons travel insurance is compulsory.

Events beyond control

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control. In the locations we operate in, these are real and regular:

  • snow, landslides, floods, cloudbursts and road closures
  • closure of a pass, or a change to permit or Inner Line Permit rules
  • earthquakes, fire and other natural events
  • strikes, civil disturbance, curfew or government restriction
  • epidemic, pandemic or public health order
  • failure of power, water, telecommunications or transport infrastructure
  • war, terrorism or the threat of either

Where such an event affects a program, we will do what we reasonably can to deliver an equivalent experience, which may mean changing the route, the location or the activities. Where the program cannot run at all, we will refund the amounts we are able to recover from venues, transport operators and other suppliers, after deducting costs already committed. This is a shared loss rather than one we can absorb alone, and travel insurance is the right protection against it.

Safety always wins. If a coach judges that a route, a session or a location is unsafe, that judgement is final and is not a breach of these terms.

Altitude and physical risk

Physical training carries risk. Training at altitude, in remote locations, with limited access to medical care, carries more. You accept these risks knowingly when you join a program.

  • Altitude sickness can affect anyone, including fit and experienced people, and is not predictable from fitness alone.
  • Several of our locations sit well above 3,000 metres, where acute mountain sickness and its serious forms are a genuine possibility.
  • Roads in the mountains are narrow, exposed and subject to closure.
  • Training, trekking and outdoor activity can cause injury.
  • Medical facilities may be several hours away, and evacuation may be delayed by weather.

We manage these risks carefully through acclimatisation planning, monitoring, experienced coaching and conservative decisions. We cannot remove them. You must follow all safety instructions given by our coaches, and tell us immediately if you feel unwell.

The participant waiver and agreement you sign before the program sets out these risks in full. Please read it properly rather than signing it at the door.

Medical emergencies

  • You authorise us to arrange emergency medical treatment or evacuation if you are unable to consent at the time.
  • You are responsible for all costs of treatment, transport and evacuation. This is what your insurance is for.
  • We will contact your emergency contact, so please make sure the details you give us are current.
  • Our coaches may hold first aid training, but they are not doctors and do not provide medical treatment.

Food and dietary needs

Meals on residential programs are cooked vegetarian, prepared fresh and built around the nutritional needs of the program. Eggs may be included where the program page says so.

  • Tell us about allergies, intolerances and dietary restrictions at the time of booking, not on arrival.
  • We will do our best to accommodate them. In remote locations, ingredient availability is limited, and some requests cannot be met.
  • Where we cannot safely accommodate a severe allergy at a given location, we will tell you before you commit, so you can decide.
  • Kitchens in remote locations handle many ingredients. We cannot guarantee an environment free of any specific allergen.
  • If you have a severe allergy, bring your own emergency medication and tell a coach where it is kept.

Accommodation

  • Accommodation is as described on the program page. Room type, sharing arrangements and facilities vary by location.
  • Where a program is priced on shared accommodation, we match participants of the same sex unless you have booked a private room.
  • Private rooms, where available, carry a supplement stated on the program page.
  • We may need to substitute accommodation of a comparable standard. Where a substitution is materially lower in standard, we will offer you the choice set out in section 13.
  • You are responsible for damage you cause to accommodation or equipment beyond normal wear.
  • Please respect the venue, the staff and the local community. Many of our locations are small places where our welcome depends on how our participants behave.

Conduct during a program

A large share of our participants travel solo, and many are women. The environment we create is the product, and it depends on everyone behaving well. We take this seriously.

You agree to:

  • follow all safety instructions from coaches and staff
  • treat other participants, coaches, venue staff and local residents with respect
  • respect the privacy of other participants, including not photographing or filming them without permission, and not posting images of them without asking
  • keep to the program schedule, and tell a coach before leaving the group or the property
  • respect local customs, dress norms and religious sites
  • avoid any behaviour that is threatening, harassing, discriminatory or sexually inappropriate

Harassment of any participant or staff member results in immediate removal from the program, without a refund, and we will assist the affected person in reporting it if they wish to.

Alcohol and substances

  • Alcohol is not part of our programs and is not permitted during residential programs.
  • Alcohol significantly worsens acclimatisation and increases the risk of altitude sickness. At our high altitude locations this is a safety rule, not a preference.
  • Smoking is not permitted during sessions or in shared spaces, and is discouraged throughout.
  • Illegal substances are prohibited absolutely. Possession or use ends your participation immediately, without a refund, and we will comply with any legal obligation that follows.

Ending participation

We may end your participation, at any point and without a refund, if you:

  • withheld or misstated health information
  • repeatedly ignore safety instructions
  • behave in a way that endangers yourself or others
  • harass or abuse another participant, a coach, venue staff or a member of the local community
  • use illegal substances
  • damage property deliberately

Where we end your participation, you are responsible for your own onward travel and any costs arising. We will not leave anyone in an unsafe situation, and we will help you reach a town or transport hub safely, but the cost is yours.

If you choose to leave a program early for any reason, no refund is due for the unused portion.

Photography and media

We photograph and film during programs. How we handle that, and how your permission works, is set out in full in our Privacy Policy. In summary:

  • Progress photographs stay private between you and your coaching team.
  • We publish your image, your words or your story only where you have signed a separate media consent form.
  • You may withdraw that consent at any time, and we will remove the material from anything we control.
  • Booking a program does not give us permission to publish anything about you.

Results and expectations

We measure results carefully and we publish them honestly. What we cannot do is promise that your result will match anyone else's.

  • Outcomes depend on your starting point, your genetics, your medical history, your effort during the program and the choices you make afterwards.
  • Case studies and testimonials describe what those individuals achieved. They are not a prediction for you.
  • We do not offer a results guarantee, and we will not pretend otherwise to close a booking.
  • No refund is due on the basis that a result fell short of your expectation.

What we do commit to is coaching you properly, measuring honestly, and telling you the truth about what we see in your numbers.

Online coaching

  • Online coaching runs for the period stated in your package and begins on the start date we agree.
  • The package sets out what is included, including the frequency of check-ins and reviews.
  • You are responsible for training safely in your own environment, and for having any equipment the plan requires.
  • We cannot see your form in real time. Follow the guidance given, ask when unsure, and stop if something hurts.
  • Coaching periods are not paused or extended for missed check-ins, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • Either side may end an online coaching engagement with 30 days written notice. Where you have prepaid for several months, we refund the unused full months, less 10 percent administration. A month that has started is not refunded.

Digital products

  • Digital courses, plans and downloadable material are licensed to you for personal use only.
  • You may not copy, resell, share, republish or use them to coach others.
  • Access is for the period stated at purchase, or for as long as we keep the product available if no period is stated.
  • Because digital products are delivered immediately and cannot be returned, they are non refundable once accessed or downloaded.
  • If a product fails to deliver, or is not what the sales page described, contact us and we will fix it or refund it.
  • Printed items such as journals are shipped to the address you provide. Delivery timelines are estimates.

Free calculators

Our BMI, body fat, TDEE, metabolic risk, protein, altitude pace, taper and HYROX tools are free and provided for general information.

  • They use published formulas and population level cutoffs, and they cannot account for your individual circumstances.
  • They are not a medical assessment, a diagnosis or a screening test.
  • A result that concerns you is a reason to see a doctor, not a reason to act on your own.
  • We do not guarantee their accuracy and we accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of a result.

Intellectual property

All content on this website and in our programs and products, including text, photographs, video, training plans, assessment methods, report formats, calculators, course material and the Fitness Bootcamp name and marks, belongs to us or our licensors.

  • You may view, download and print our free content for your personal, non commercial use.
  • You may not republish, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit any of it.
  • You may not use our material to build a competing program, course or product.
  • You may not use our name, logo or photographs without written permission.
  • Short quotations with clear attribution and a link back are welcome.

Training plans and reports we prepare for you are for your own use. Sharing them with others, or using them to coach others, is a breach of these terms.

Your content and reviews

  • Reviews, comments and feedback you post publicly should be honest, and honest criticism is welcome.
  • You keep ownership of what you write. By posting it publicly about us, you allow us to quote it with attribution, unless you tell us not to.
  • Do not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that reveals another participant's health information or identity without their permission.
  • We will not respond to a public complaint by disclosing your health information, your results or your photographs.
  • If you have a problem, please raise it with us first. Most things are fixable when we know about them.

Using this website

You may use our website for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or to any account or server
  • introduce malicious code, or attempt to disrupt or overload it
  • scrape, harvest or systematically extract content or data
  • frame our pages or present our content as your own
  • impersonate us or any of our coaches

We try to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and we may change or remove content at any time. Program pages are updated from time to time, and the version in your booking confirmation is the one that applies to you.

Other websites

Our website links to other sites, including payment pages, social platforms and partner organisations. We do not control them, we are not responsible for their content or their practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Those protections stay with you whatever else this section says.

Subject to that:

  • our total liability to you in connection with a program is limited to the fee you paid us for it
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost income, lost opportunity or missed events
  • we are not liable for the acts or omissions of independent third parties, including airlines, hotels, transport operators, laboratories and payment providers
  • we are not liable for loss or damage to your personal belongings, which remain your responsibility
  • we are not liable for outcomes arising from health information you did not disclose

Your responsibility to us

You agree to cover any loss or cost we incur because you breached these terms, gave us false information about your health, damaged property deliberately, or acted unlawfully during a program.

Complaints

If something goes wrong during a program, tell a coach at the time. Most problems can be solved on the spot, and very few can be solved afterwards.
