Seven Days in Meghalaya & Assam
The same standard of care we hold in our residential programs, now on the road. Meghalaya's living root bridges and waterfalls, Assam's Kaziranga grasslands, daily mobility and easy Zone 2 running, cooked vegetarian meals, in a small group hosted in person.
Meet your host before you decide.
Niraj Kumar Borah greets every guest in person, with folded hands, from the very first minute. Here is a short hello, and a feel for the care that runs through the whole week.
The same standards as our residential programs, now on the road.
For five years, guests have trusted us with a serious, structured health program at our residential base. This week carries that same care into the mountains. Niraj Kumar Borah and a small team host you across two states, so every stay, meal, and walk is arranged and you can simply be present.
We built Fitness Bootcamp as a premium residential health system, not a gym or a retreat. A fitness vacation is that same thinking, on the move. This is our on-demand Meghalaya and Assam tour package, run once as a single batch for sixteen guests, with every entry fee, safari, trek, and transfer handled for you. You bring yourself and a pair of shoes with grip.
What this isA calm, well-organised week of walks, waterfalls, wildlife, and easy daily movement, in good company and handpicked homestays, run to the standard you would expect from our residential programs.
What this is notA fat-loss camp, a training programme, or a race. You will not come home with a lab report. You will come home rested, moved, and well travelled.

The route, one day at a time.
Guwahati up to Shillong, deep into the Cherrapunji waterfalls and root bridges, out to Dawki, then across to Kaziranga and back. A real journey, not a single base camp.
Arrival, and up into the hills

We meet you at Guwahati airport at 2 PM and drive up to Shillong, about three and a half hours away. We stop along the way to stretch and take in Umiam Lake. You settle into the homestay, meet the group around a bonfire, and share a warm vegetarian dinner. Nothing strenuous today. Rest and arrive.
Waterfalls and fossils

The day opens with fifteen minutes of mobility and an easy thirty-minute Zone 2 run, then breakfast. We hike about thirty minutes down to Wei Sawdong, a clear three-tier waterfall, then walk through Arwah Cave and its limestone fossils. We finish with a quiet hour at Eco Park, looking out over the Cherrapunji gorges.
The living root bridge

After a short mobility session and breakfast, we take on the day's real walk. This is one of the world's most famous treks, about 3,500 steps down to the Double Decker living root bridge, a structure grown by hand over generations. We cool off at the natural swimming pool and El waterfall, then walk on to Rainbow Falls. This is the most demanding day, and we go entirely at your pace.
The cleanest village, and clear water

We open with fifteen minutes of mobility and an easy Zone 2 run, then set out on a longer travel day that is well worth it. We visit Mawlynnong, kept so clean it is known as Asia's cleanest village, then reach the Dawki river, where the water runs so clear the boats look as if they are floating on air. In the evening we drive down to Guwahati for the night.
Assamese craft, then the grasslands

Mobility, an easy Zone 2 run, and breakfast, then the Brahmaputra Heritage Centre for a close look at Assamese craft, handloom, and history. After lunch we drive on to Kaziranga and settle in beside the grasslands for the night.
Kaziranga safari

We start with fifteen minutes of mobility and an easy Zone 2 run, then head into Kaziranga on a jungle safari, home to two-thirds of the world's one-horned rhinos, along with wild elephants and, if you are lucky, a tiger. After an unhurried lunch we drive back to Guwahati.
A calm farewell

One last short mobility session and breakfast. Check-out is at 10 AM. Return airport transfer is not included, and Ola and Uber are easy to find. Most guests stop at the Kamakhya temple on the way to the airport and like to take their time there, so we suggest booking a late-evening flight home to give yourself an unhurried visit.
Gentle by design, not by accident.
This is a vacation, so the movement stays light and always optional. Most mornings open with fifteen minutes of mobility and a thirty-minute Zone 2 run, easy, conversational-pace running that builds your aerobic base without leaving you tired. Day three is the world-famous root-bridge trek, and day one is for arriving. The structure is deliberate, the same measured thinking behind everything we do.
Handpicked homestays, chosen with care.
Your base each evening is a handpicked homestay, clean, comfortable, and quietly premium. Warm hosts, home-cooked vegetarian food, and a calm room to return to after the day. Here is a look inside our Shillong homestay.
"I recently joined a group trip through Assam and Meghalaya, and it was hands down one of the most memorable travel experiences I have ever had. From the stunning waterfalls and caves of Meghalaya to the wildlife safari in Kaziranga, every day brought something new. Spotting rhinos and elephants in their natural habitat was a definite highlight. The trip was well organised, with a great mix of adventure and workouts, and a huge shout out to Fitness Bootcamp's Niraj for pulling off such a smooth and unforgettable experience. If you are looking to explore a beautiful, lesser-known part of India with a fun crew, this is it. Highly recommend, and already planning the next one."
"Thank you for the lovely trip. Had one of the best weeks of my life, with a special shout out to Niraj ji and Srishti and everyone in the group. Super experiences and lovely memories that will live forever. Thank you once again."
