Fitness Vacation vs. Fitness Transformation Bootcamp: What’s the Best Fit for You?

Choosing between our two programmes
We run two quite different things, and people regularly book the wrong one. A fitness vacation and a residential transformation share a coach and a philosophy, and almost nothing else. This is the honest comparison, so you arrive wanting what you are actually going to get.

The distinction is simple once you see it. One is an active holiday. The other is a measured change in your health. Both are good. They are not interchangeable, and most of the disappointment in this category comes from booking one while hoping for the other.

The one question that decides it
A great week away?
Then you want a fitness vacation. Active, restful, in a beautiful place. A reset, not a transformation.
Or a real change?
Then you want the residential transformation. Measured, verified on data, built to survive going home.

If you are not sure which you want, you almost certainly want the vacation. The transformation is a serious commitment, and it is not the right place to test whether you are ready for one.

The Two, Side by Side

 Fitness vacationResidential transformation
The goalAn active, restful holidayA measured change in your health
LengthA few days up to a weekFour weeks, the core programme
LocationsRishikesh, Manali, Ladakh, Meghalaya and Assam, SpitiPrimarily Rishikesh, with some batches in Manali and Ladakh
Who it is forAnyone wanting travel and activity togetherPeople ready to commit to a real change
NutritionFresh, cooked, vegetarian, balanced. Not tracked. Lunch flexible for local food on tour daysCooked vegetarian meals planned and tracked around your training and goals
ExplorationCurated itineraries, sightseeing is part of the pointFocused on the work, with weekend hikes. Sightseeing optional, before or after
MeasurementNone. It is a holidayBloodwork and body composition at the start and end, independently run
ResultsA reset and good memories, not a transformationA measured, evidenced change, planned to last
Read the measurement row twice. It is the real difference. A vacation makes no promises about your body and takes no measurements, because that is not its job. The transformation is built entirely around measurement, because a change you cannot verify is a change you cannot trust.

The Fitness Vacation, Honestly

A short, active getaway. Training folded into travel, in some of the most beautiful parts of India, with the place itself as much of the point as the movement.

What it is
  • A few days to a week. Long enough for a genuine reset, not long enough for a measured body change.
  • Yoga, strength, mobility, and hiking, paced for the setting and scaled to you.
  • Fresh, cooked, vegetarian food, balanced but not tracked, with room to enjoy local cuisine on tour days.
  • Curated sightseeing, because seeing the place is part of why you came.
  • A social group setting.
What it is not. It is not a transformation, and we will not sell it as one. There are no fitness assessments and no progression tracking, because bloodwork does not move in a week and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. Come for the experience and the reset. That is the whole and worthy point of it.

The Residential Transformation, Honestly

A longer, live-in programme built around a measured change in your health. Training, food, recovery, and sleep are all managed, and progress is verified on data rather than a bathroom scale.

What it is
  • Four weeks, the core programme, as a focused, distraction-free residential stay.
  • A pre-consultation, pre-assessment forms, and blood reports reviewed before you arrive, so the programme is built around you rather than a template.
  • The first week or two spent studying your lifestyle and baseline, before load builds, which is why week one feels deliberately conservative.
  • Nutrition planned and tracked around your training and goals, using cooked vegetarian meals.
  • Bloodwork and body composition at both ends, run by independent laboratories, with the reports handed to you.
  • A small batch, for genuine personal attention.
What it is not. It is not a medical programme, and it is not a substitute for medical treatment or diagnosis. It is not a quick fix, and it will not suit someone looking for one. And it makes no guaranteed promises about a specific number of kilos, because a responsible programme cannot honestly make one. What we commit to is the structure, the measurement, and the support. The result is yours, and it is measured rather than promised.

Can I Try the Transformation for a Few Days?

No, and it is worth explaining why rather than just saying so.

The residential transformation is designed as a whole. The pre-consultation, the baseline testing, the first week or two spent studying your lifestyle, the progressive build, and the retest at the end are one connected process. Removing a few days from the front of it does not give you a smaller transformation. It gives you the setup with none of the result.

If you want to test the waters, that is exactly what the vacation is for. Spend a few days with us in the mountains, see how we coach, eat the food, meet the team. Plenty of guests do a vacation first and return for the four weeks once they know it fits them. That is a sensible order, and we recommend it more often than people expect.

What Both Share

The same on either programme
  • Cooked, fresh, vegetarian food. Tracked on the transformation, balanced but flexible on the vacation.
  • The same coaching philosophy, scaled to your level rather than a fixed class.
  • You are welcome to bring your own supplements, whey or plant protein, multivitamins, and any medication prescribed by your doctor, on either programme.
  • Neither is a medical programme. If you have a diagnosed condition, we ask for your doctor's guidance and work behind it rather than around it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a fitness vacation and a transformation programme?

A fitness vacation is an active holiday of a few days to a week, with training folded into travel, no measurement, and a reset rather than a transformation as the goal. A residential transformation is a longer, live-in programme built around a measured change in your health, verified on bloodwork and body composition at both ends. The clearest difference is measurement: the vacation takes none, the transformation is built around it.

How long is each one?

A fitness vacation runs from a few days up to a week. The residential transformation is four weeks as its core programme. A week is genuinely not long enough for the health markers a transformation measures to move, which is why the two are different products rather than long and short versions of the same one.

Can I try the transformation for just a few days?

No. It is designed as one connected process, from pre-consultation and baseline testing through a progressive build to a retest at the end. Taking a few days from the front gives you the setup with none of the result. If you want to test how we coach before committing, the fitness vacation is exactly the right way to do that, and many guests do a vacation first and return for the four weeks later.

Is the food different on each programme?

Both use fresh, cooked, vegetarian meals. On the vacation the food is balanced but not tracked, with room to enjoy local cuisine on tour days. On the transformation, nutrition is planned and tracked around your training and goals. If you have allergies or intolerances, tell us in writing before you arrive on either programme.

Will I get guaranteed results on the transformation?

No responsible programme can guarantee a specific number of kilos, because the result depends on your body, your starting point, and factors outside anyone's control. What we commit to is the structure, the measurement, the coaching, and the support. Your progress is measured honestly at both ends and handed to you on independent lab reports, so you can see exactly what changed rather than take our word for it.

Is the transformation a medical or weight loss treatment?

No. It is a fitness and health transformation programme, not a medical programme, and it is not a substitute for medical treatment or diagnosis. If you have a diagnosed health condition, we ask for your doctor's guidance and work behind it. For anything genuinely medical, your doctor comes first.
